Shopping at American Girl Orlando
This huge store has all things American Girl: historical dolls, Truly Me, Bitty Baby, and Welly Wishers. And of course with the dolls comes plenty of more things like outfits, accessories, furniture and more. You can also find fun things for girls like books and games. It was neat to see all the latest and greatest and how far the brand has come since Julie’s childhood. For our brunch event we were lucky enough to attend pre-opening for a private shopping party.
The Doll Salon
American Girl Orlando also has a doll hair salon on site. Girls can drop off their doll and pick out fun new hairstyles and other “beauty treatments.” Many of the brunch attendees were excited to get their childhood friends some updated ‘dos. So cute.
The Bistro
This cafe is a great spot for a shopping lunch break or a special destination meal. With casual seating and lots of pink decor it’s a cute spot. They even have special seats to bring your doll to the table. The Bistro Menu offers kid friendly fare of course, but adults will also find some good bites like starters, salads, sandwiches, and even wines. It’s good to note there is also a private party room for special events too. Julie can’t wait to take her nieces here when they are a little older.
Our American Girl Brunch
For our special event for grown up AG fans the store whipped up a special brunch spread inspired by our favorite historical characters. It was a nice spread with a good variety of go-to party items. We tried bites such as:
Sandwich wraps
Mini Quiches
Caprese salad sticks
Cheese
Veggies and hummus
Deviled eggs
Yogurt Parfaits
Chocolate Strawberries
Fruit Tarts & Scones
Pink Sparkler Cocktails
Final Thoughts
This was such a fun little event. Some may wonder why grown ups would want to go to a doll store, but it was such a nostalgic blast from the past and great to be around others who loved AG growing up too. Seeing the new products was fun, and the brunch was a lovely time. The store went above and beyond too with some giveaways and goody bags too. Thank you to American Girl Orlando for hosting such a fun event. (And thanks to Josie at Maida Media for the invite.)
