As part of our 10 year Anniversary Celebration we wanted to take some special photographs together. We decided to do an in-park shoot as well as capture family portraits and candids on the night of our celebration dinner.
We brought along our friend Ryan Hartford from Ecliptic Media Photo to capture some magical shots in the park. He is super talented and we can't wait to share the amazing moments he captured! We got up bright and early on a Tuesday morning rocking our Disney themed formal wear and got started at some of the resort areas before the park opened.
The Adventureland Gazebo is sweet and intimate with an interesting mix of exotic plant life.
LEFT: The iconic Sorcerer's hat near the Disneyland Hotel. RIGHT: Along the way we found some pretty gardens in Downtown Disney.
We were then ready to head into the park right at opening. It was really fun being dressed up and walking around Disneyland. The only bummer was being January a lot of construction was happening around Main Street. But we were able to get creative and still capture a ton of beautiful shots. And Ryan was able to take photos that made us look like we had the place to ourselves.
The famous Disneyland Railroad station at the entrance of the park.
In front of the Fire Department (with Walt's apartment above!) and the Main Street Cinema.
Love how this shot framed the marquee letters above the shop.
After Main Street we made our way to the iconic Sleeping Beauty Castle. We're still not sure how we lucked out getting such gorgeous shots with no people in them. I'm guessing some Disney magic was on our side.
Feeling regal on the drawbridge.
The most epic shot of all: front and center of Sleeping Beauty's Castle!
We found some perfectly themed, more tucked away areas in the castle too, like this Sleeping Beauty artwork and archway.
We even snuck in some rides during the shoot!
Riding a carousel horse in formal wear is harder than it looks!
"A dream is a WISH your heart makes..." and Julie's heart was in love with these glass slipper shoes!
The Mary Blair style front of It's a Small World is simply stunning.
We took a quick break and then changed into more casual clothes to finish up the day.

Catching a ride on the Disneyland Railroad.
Mickey's Toontown provided such fun, playful architecture.
Another one of our favorite shots from the day was in Mickey's adorable car.
