Well friends we have some BIG news to share. We are embarking on the next chapter in our happily ever after. We will be leaving our “castle” in Maryland to head somewhere warmer and a little more magical. It’s official, we are moving to… Orlando!
Andrew has lived in Maryland since he was a baby. Julie moved here during high school. We have been in our current home situated between Baltimore and Washington D.C. now for nearly nine years! Our first home has held so many amazing memories for us. Growing from a newlywed couple to where we are today, this house has seen so much. From the addition of new furry members to our family, different jobs, home improvement projects, holiday celebrations, and so many special moments. This area houses family and best friends, and all of the little things you get used to in life. But sometimes what is comfortable must be pushed to the side to embark on something new.

Goodbye to our first home.
We had always talked about maybe exploring a new area “one day”. But the truth is just up and moving somewhere else is a huge undertaking with many factors involved. But a few months ago the pieces started falling into place. A job popped up in the Orlando area that seemed a perfect fit for Andrew, and he applied because, why not? But all of the sudden things got real when HR seemed really interested. After a couple of phone interviews and a trip south for a day of meetings (and a near missed flight!) Andrew was officially offered the position. We are also lucky that Julie is an entrepreneur and will be able to move the operations of her graphic design business JK Creative to a new state. She is excited to network with an entirely new community and is also hoping to work with more Disney Brides with her Ever Ella wedding invitation brand. We of course are thrilled to have more opportunities for The Disney DINKs blog to grow as well. And how do the cats feel about everything? I guess we will have to find out! (Anyone have tips for long road trips?)

Hello new adventures!
So needless to say current life has been super overwhelming with juggling getting a house ready to sell here, trying to find a new home in a completely different state, navigating a new job, and just figuring out so many little details (nothing like throwing an out of country vacation in the middle of it all too!). But we keep believing in the end this new adventure will be all worth it. We really hope the new family moving in will love this place as much as we have. (If you want a peek at our current castle check out a mini house tour here.) While we are sad to let go of our first home, we are very excited for our next chapter. We haven’t settled on exactly where in Orlando we will be living but rest assured it will be within easy access to Disney property. Having said that, if you happen to be in town, let us know we would love to meet up at the parks! And to anyone already in the Orlando area we would love to connect and hear any advice about the area. Thanks everyone for following along on our journey and we hope to share more with you real soon.
