We have been blue card holders since 2013 and have used our membership in various ways. DVC Resort Dining Review: What to Eat at Disney's Vero Beach Resort

We recently snuck away for a few days to visit Disney’s Vero Beach Resort. (You can read a review of this Disney Vacation Club property HERE.) When traveling, enjoying some great meals is a must do for us. We researched and found out that there are a couple dining options right on the property to include a table service restaurant, quick service market, and a couple of bars/lounges. Disney's Vero Beach Resort: A Relaxing DVC Trip Review

Last year we had booked our first trip to visit Disney’s Hilton Head Island Resort but unfortunately the property completely shut down due to a hurricane. This year we booked a reservation for the second time and once again a hurricane threatened the area. (Perhaps the third try will be the charm?) We still really wanted to get away for a few days and last weekend frantically tried to figure out an alternative solution. Walt Disney World was pretty booked up due to the Food & Wine festival but we were able to find point availability at Disney’s Vero Beach Resort. This Disney Vacation Club location is a little under two hours away from the Walt Disney World resort so honestly we had never considered visiting before. But the last minute switch ended up being quite the happy accident. Read on to hear more about what we thought about this beautiful beach resort with touches of Disney magic.

Our Disney Hilton Head Island Trip: Canceled (Thanks Irma!)

We were supposed to be writing a review today of the Disney Vacation Club property on Hilton Head Island. We were looking forward to our long weekend reservation that we booked to attend a wedding. Well along came Hurricane Irma and the whole island was shut down. Thankfully after the storm passed some businesses started opening and our friends' wedding was on! (And a fantastic event!) Unfortunately the Disney resort never opened for us to stay at or even check it out. We lucked out snagging a last minute ocean view room at a Marriott property. It was right next to the Disney Beach house which was locked up as well when we walked by. We did had an amazing trip and enjoyed HHI a lot. We plan on going back at a future date to explore more and get some Disney magic on our next trip. Stay tuned for a review next time!
