Now that Halloween has passed we are stoked for the holiday season to officially begin! One of Julie’s favorite childhood memories during Christmas time was attending The Nutcracker ballet many times over the years. When we were invited to attend a screening of Disney’s new film based on the ballet: The Nutcracker and The Four Realms we couldn’t wait to get a jump start on the season. Pilots N Paws Fall Rescue Flight: Hurricane Florence Puppies
Last month we had booked a trip to visit Disney’s Hilton Head Island Resort. We had also scheduled a Pilots’n’Paws rescue flight on the way home to bring a German Shepherd back from South Carolina to the the D.C. metro area. Unfortunately Hurricane Florence had other plans, and our whole trip was canceled. When a natural disaster hits, there are usually many animals that need to be transported to new locations. So last weekend when the same rescue organization reached out about a couple puppies needing to be moved from a post hurricane area, we jumped at the chance to help out. Disney's Vero Beach Resort: A Relaxing DVC Trip Review
Last year we had booked our first trip to visit Disney’s Hilton Head Island Resort but unfortunately the property completely shut down due to a hurricane. This year we booked a reservation for the second time and once again a hurricane threatened the area. (Perhaps the third try will be the charm?) We still really wanted to get away for a few days and last weekend frantically tried to figure out an alternative solution. Walt Disney World was pretty booked up due to the Food & Wine festival but we were able to find point availability at Disney’s Vero Beach Resort. This Disney Vacation Club location is a little under two hours away from the Walt Disney World resort so honestly we had never considered visiting before. Grown up Disney fans it's time to get excited! The Disney Store just launched a new adult focused collection called "Forever Disney." This new curation features fashion and lifestyle goods and is now available at shopdisney.com and retail Disney stores. To celebrate the launch Disney Stores nationwide planned a Fan Thursdays event co-hosted by Forever Disney and Oh My Disney style blog. We know the Disney Store hosts many events, but this was the first that didn't seem kid focused so we really wanted to check it out.
