It is time for another Disney Friends Blog Hop! The theme for this month is “Disney at Home”. We wanted to share with you some of our Disney Decor at home. We strive to strike a balance of sprinkling in some magic without being too crazy. So come along on our tour and get a peek into our home with some Disney touches. And once you read our article you can continue on to check out more blogs with some other great Disney home themed articles this month. (See bottom of article for more details.)
Living Areas
In our living room areas we have a few pictures, collectibles, and home decor items such as:
Black and White Disney print frame collage
Happily Ever After Pillows
Special Collectibles such as a castle, wedding cake topper, and a Disney vase
We also sprinkled in some Disney hard cover books into our fireplace display
Another great thing to note is in our hallway we came up with a very cheap Disney art option. At the parks you can pick up packs of attraction posters. During the end of the year they also sell large calendars with an attraction poster for each month. We grabbed some cheap frames from Michaels and hung a set of 4 in the hall. They are easy to pop in and out so we mix them up throughout the year. It’s a fun vintage vibe for super cheap!
Kitchen
In our dining room we have an awesome wine rack cabinet. Above that we have a nod to Pirates of the Caribbean. A Caribbean map from our honeymoon hangs above with some of Andrew’s pirate inspired rum bottles.
In our kitchen we have sprinkled in lots of Disney items that look more classy than cheesy such as towels, serving utensils, and bowls. We also have a Disney coffee mug collection including a Starbucks mug from each park we have been to!
Bedroom Areas
We like our bedroom area to feel like a little getaway and have aimed to have a beachy feel. We have a few pieces of art to include a painting of the Wedding Pavilion, some wedding pics, and a happily ever after sign above the door.
In the bathroom we found some David Doss artwork that is beachy and Disney with two small prints above the tub and a larger Disney cruise line print as well.
Office Areas
Our his and hers office spaces are the perfect reflection of Disney personalities. Julie’s is Cinderella themed with soft blue walls, Cinderella artwork & collectibles and touches of gold and white.
Andrew’s office is retro Disney with a black, white and grey theme, Ethan Allen Mickey bedding and a great Walt Print above the bed.
